Astute Media launches the new Oxygen8 Website
Oxygen8, a globally based telecommunications company providing worldwide Mobile and
Voice solutions, chose Astute Media to develop its new website to reflect its redeveloped
corporate identity.
Requirements
- Allow Oxygen8 team members to easily update the content of the website
- Ensure the site could be supported by Oxygen8's IT team
- Display the wide range of services and products in a user friendly format
- Reflect the new Oxygen8 brand guidelines
- Provide a spotlight for the homepage to expose Oxygen8's main services
What We Did
- Developed the site using a third party Content Management System
- Used Drupal CMS on a Linux platform
- Worked with the Oxygen8 team to agree the categorisation of site content and how
that content was to be structured within the site.
- Designed the site with a contemporary, fresh look and feel while keeping within the
developed brand guidelines
- Developed a Flash-based spotlight for the Services and Solutions sections

- By using a well supported, 3rd party CMS solution, we were able to offer a high level
of functionality at the fraction of the cost of a bespoke solution
- Using the Drupal framework ensured that support and maintenance of the website
could be handled in-house by Oxygen8
- The site's large amount of content has been distilled into a clear hierarchy, backed up
by a robust search engine, means that visitors to the site can easily find the content
they are looking for.
- The simple to use Flash spotlight exposes the main services quickly and easily,
allowing customers to get straight to the most important content
Additional Work
Thanks to a great working relationship with the Oxygen8 team and a great response from
everyone about the new website, Astute Media were then commissioned to deliver an
online marketing campaign to drive targeted traffic to the Oxygen8 website using Google
Adwords, Pay per click advertising and Search Engine Optimisation.
